Jamaree Salyer has made up his mind. He does plan to commit and sign with the school of his choice on Dec. 20.

There had been some indecision about that during the last few days, but it appears he has now made up his mind.

This choice comes at the tail end of his official visit this weekend at UGA. The 6-foot-4, 345-pound prospect has never released his finalists, but Clemson and UGA are the perceived finalists for this decision.

The U.S. Army All-American will be part of an early signing day event at Sports and Social at the Battery Atlanta. The entertainment venue and social lounge will host a busy morning and afternoon of announcements on the first day of the new early signing period.

Look for this decision to take place sometime around 10:30 a.m. ET on Wednesday.

Salyer ranks as the nation’s No. 1 guard prospect for 2018. DawgNation continues to view the chase to sign the Pace Academy standout as one of the most important pieces of the Class of 2018 for the Bulldogs.

“I’m just ready to get this thing finished so I can go back to putting my head down and working,” Salyer told DawgNation.

Salyer said his former Pace Academy teammates Trey Blount and Andrew Thomas served as his hosts for the official visit this weekend to Georgia.

“It went great,” Salyer said. “I had a good time.”
