Marlin Dean trotted out a unique pump fake of sorts in the recruiting world on Thursday.

The 6-foot-6, 255-pound defensive lineman from Elbert County in Northeast Georgia released a top 10 edit on his social media. Well, sort of.

There were actually 10 teams represented. The logos of those teams were scattered around another great Hayes Fawcett edit.

But there was an 11th team in the middle. That was the Georgia Bulldogs. The 3-star prospect was depicted in his UGA gear from a photo shoot at the recent visit.

Subliminal? Perhaps some sort of 5-star foreshadowing?

Did the graphics whiz needs to change that “top 10” to a “top 11” with that? Or maybe a “top 1” instead?

It certainly seems like that today. Dean released another edit on Friday morning of his commitment to Georgia.

The 3-star recruit ranks as the nation’s No. 25 DT prospect and the No. 408 overall recruit for the 2021 cycle on the 247Sports Composite ratings.

Dean comes to Georgia from the same Elbert County program which sent former 5-star Mecole Hardman Jr. to Athens. Georgia coach Kirby Smart landed a helicopter on the grounds of Elbert County over the last year while flying into Elbertson to visit Dean.

He becomes the third commitment for the 2021 class in Athens.
