Georgia football is the No. 1 topic every day on DawgNation Daily — the daily podcast for Georgia Bulldogs fans. Catch up on everything happening with UGA athletics with host Brandon Adams and the cast of DawgNation experts as they break down the latest Georgia football recruiting news and discuss UGA coach Kirby Smart’s quest to keep the Bulldogs on top of the SEC. On episode No. 676 (April 3, 2018) of the podcast, Georgia fans can hear a discussion about the national media providing UGA with some bulletin board material.

Georgia football podcast: National media provide UGA with couple pieces of bulletin board material

Beginning of the show: UGA apparently has doubters among the national media and the betting public. CBS Sports published some odds that suggested UGA is a much longer shot than Alabama to return to the College Football Playoff, and Paul Finebaum told WJOX he thought South Carolina could be a dangerous game for the Bulldogs. I’ll talk more on the show about the mounting bulletin board material.

10-minute mark: Kirby Smart gave a somewhat surprising update on freshman defensive back Divaad Wilson’s knee injury Saturday. I’ll share audio of that comment, and discuss how Wilson’s absence is impacting the ongoing competition in the secondary.
15-minute mark: DawgNation recruiting insider Jeff Sentell joins the show for the Marlow’s Tavern Tell-All. Some of the topics covered include:
  • 5-star defensive end Nolan Smith playing an April Fool’s joke
  • Internet chatter regarding 4-star offensive lineman Luke Griffin
  • UGA makes the cut for quarterback Ryan Hilinski’s top 7
  • Thoughts on running back John Emery Jr., including UGA in top 8
  • Can UGA flip 5-star defensive end Chris Hinton from Michigan?
  • What happened with 4-star athlete Jashawn Sheffield?

35-minute mark: I take a look at some other SEC headlines, including Lane Kiffin saying Nick Saban overlooked Mike Locksley, Auburn dealing with multiple injuries, Jeremy Pruitt welcoming back former Vols, multiple SEC players making Andy Staples’ list of NFL draft sleepers, and Kirby Smart getting concerned about defensive line depth.

End of show: I update the Gator Hater Countdown, preview the Diamond Dawgs game Tuesday night vs. Georgia Tech, and congratulate the softball team for its series win at Tennessee.
