Georgia football is the No. 1 topic every day on DawgNation Daily — the daily podcast for Georgia Bulldogs fans. Catch up on everything happening with UGA athletics with host Brandon Adams and the cast of DawgNation experts as they break down the latest Georgia football recruiting news and discuss UGA coach Kirby Smart’s quest to return the Bulldogs to the top of the SEC.
On episode No. 584 (Nov. 23, 2017) of the podcast, UGA fans can hear a discussion about why Georgia’s rivalry with Georgia Tech will never rank among the sport’s best.
Georgia football podcast: ‘Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate’ will never be a great rivalry
Beginning of the show: Georgia’s rivalry with Georgia Tech is known as “Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate.” That’s a great nickname, but the Bulldogs and Yellow Jackets hardly combine for a great rivalry. This is true for reasons beyond the fact that UGA is typically a sizable favorite in the game. I’ll talk more about this topic on today’s show.
10-minute mark: Thursdays on DawgNation Daily typically feature DawgNation’s Seth Emerson. Seth is out this week, but will return next week. Pinch-hitting for him is a bonus conversation with SEC Country’s Mike Johnson, who shares thoughts on what will happen in the game vs. Georgia Tech on Saturday, and what to expect from the Iron Bowl.
20-minute mark: I try to update — as of recording time — the latest reports and rumors involving the ongoing coaching searches at Florida and Tennessee. I also preview the Egg Bowl between Ole Miss and Mississippi State.
End of show: I wish DawgNation Daily listeners and viewers a Happy Thanksgiving.
Note: I also want to take a moment to wish those of you who see this post a happy Thanksgiving as well. I’m truly grateful that you listen to this show. I trust this week will be the start of a joyous holiday season for you, your family and your friends.
