A new day means another rep of a UGA football feature called the Cover 4. DawgNation has four staffers who cover the team from every angle: Beat, hybrid roles, live streams, photos, podcasts, recruiting, etc. The Cover 4 aim here is simple: 1) Present a topic; 2) Offer a reasoned response; 3) Share a brisk statement to support the informed opinion.

The first SEC game kicks this week. South Carolina presents a formidable opponent, a physical challenge and an environment Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart noted will be a tough place to play this week.

According to two members of our panel, the Gamecocks also have the best single individual player the Bulldogs will see this season.

Who is that? What about the other two guys? Who do they play for?

These Cover 4 takes will come at you even faster than Mecole Hardman Jr. can post to his social media accounts.

Who is the best player UGA will face in 2018?

Brandon Adams says that Deebo Samuel ranks as the top weapon that the Bulldogs will see this year. (Ranier Ehrhardt/AP)/Dawgnation)

Brandon Adams: Deebo Samuel, South Carolina.

Why: Gamecocks are nowhere near the best team UGA will face, but Samuel is a force — both as a WR and as a kick returner.

That Samuel fella? He’s pretty good. That’s the official Chip Towers take on the best individual player the Bulldogs will face this year. (Lance King/Getty Images)/Dawgnation)

Chip Towers: Deebo Samuel, South Carolina.

Why: Georgia was so fortunate to avoid this WR/KR last year. A close second is Auburn QB Jarrett Stidham.

Mike Griffth says DawgNation would be wise to respect the arm of Mizzou QB Drew Lock. (Jamie Squire/Getty Images)/Dawgnation)

Mike Griffith: Drew Lock, Missouri

Why: The nation’s TD passing leader in 2018 has a loaded supporting cast returning.

According to one Cover 4 panelist, Tua Tagovailoa will eventually be the best player that Georgia will see this year. (Joe Robbins/Getty Images)/Dawgnation)

Jeff Sentell: Tua Tagovailoa, Alabama

Why: The Deebo, Stidham or any Auburn D-line take would be strong, but I feel the rematch with Alabama and Tagovailoa is inevitable.
