Devon Gales will forever be of interest to Georgia Bulldogs fans.

During a 2015 game at Sanford Stadium against Georgia, Gales suffered a significant neck injury while playing for Southern. He was left paralyzed from the waist down. Since then, he has forged a unique relationship with the university and its fan base as he fights to regain his ability to walk.

In May 2017, Gales showed progress in that battle when he took a dozen steps with the help of training equipment and medical staff. By late July, Gales had progressed to participating in something he loves to do: throwing around the pigskin.

On Monday, Gales posted a video to Instagram that showed him playing catch while supported by medical equipment. His accompanying message — “PUT ME IN COACH IM READY!!!!!” — is sure to put a smile on your face.
