Georgia’s offense has come to life in the Liberty Bowl against TCU, but Mike Mills still won’t give Jim Chaney any credit for it.
The R.E.M. bassist and Bulldogs fan criticized Chaney’s play-calling earlier in the game after a string of three-and-outs. If he had his way, Chaney would have lost his job during the game.
The Bulldogs recovered, however, taking a 21-16 lead on a 4-yard touchdown pass by Jacob Eason. The play involved a fake toss to the tailback, and Mills liked the design. But he still won’t give Chaney props for it.
Georgia leads TCU 24-23 in the fourth quarter.
