An interesting message came across Georgia’s Twitter account Monday night.
A vague tweet with the message, “Back in black … 11.19.16” was sent as a possible tease that the Bulldogs will wear black jerseys when hosting Louisiana-Lafayette on Saturday. The topic was addressed during coach Kirby Smart’s news conference Monday, and Smart responded, “We haven’t confirmed that yet.”
It will be interesting to see if Georgia breaks out the black jerseys this weekend. Before the season, athletics director Greg McGarity said the Bulldogs would wear black jerseys once a year beginning with this campaign. But the game wasn’t specified.
After Saturday, Georgia closes the regular season at home against Georgia Tech on Nov. 26.
