Things did not go well for Georgia on Saturday, as the Bulldogs suffered their first loss of the year to Auburn in a 40-17 defeat.

The loss has dropped Georgia from No. 2 to No. 7 in the latest AP poll. The Bulldogs received 1,151 points, just below Auburn at No. 6.

Alabama stayed at No. 1 in the poll. The Bulldogs will play the winner of the Alabama-Auburn game in the SEC Championship Game on Dec. 2 in Atlanta.

LSU, victors over Arkansas on Saturday, climbed into the poll at No. 21 while Mississippi State, defeated by Alabama 31-24, rose a spot to No. 17.
