Former UGA star Mecole Hardman won a Super Bowl ring on Sunday as a member of the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs.
Hardman definitely hasn’t forgotten about where he came from – as he gave the Bulldogs a shout out in a pregame video.
In the Super Bowl, the rookie wide receiver was targeted once, catching one pass for two yards. He also had three kickoff returns for a total of 58 yards.
While Hardman may have not been a factor in Sunday’s game, he clearly was a difference-maker to helping Kansas City win the NFL championship throughout the season. Hardman’s outstanding play on special teams earned him in the Pro Bowl as a returner.
Hardman is quickly turning into one of the Chiefs’ most likeable personalities with the creative outfits he wears to the stadium, along with his engaging personality.
As a rookie, Hardman has accomplished so much that it is hard to believe that he could have been on UGA’s roster this past season. He decided to forgo his senior year for the Bulldogs, and was a second-round pick by the Chiefs in the 2019 draft.
