With the season just a few weeks away from starting, Georgia has updated its roster for the 2024 season.
The Bulldogs have welcomed 10 newcomers to the team since the end of spring practice. Georgia welcomed three transfers along with the final seven members of the 2024 signing class.
New Georgia football numbers for 2024 roster
- Quarterback Jaden Rashada, No. 10, 6-foot-4, 185 pounds
- Running back Nate Frazier, No. 3, 5-foot-10, 210 pounds
- Running back Dwight Phillips Jr., No. 20, 5-foot-10, 175 pounds
- Tight end Benjamin Yurosek, No. 84, 6-foot-4, 247 pounds
- Offensive tackle Marcus Harrison, No. 76, 6-foot-8, 330 pounds
- Defensive lineman Nasir Johnson, No. 88, 6-foot-6, 335 pounds
- Defensive lineman Justin Greene, No. 91, 6-foot-4, 265 pounds
- Punter Drew Miller, No. 90, 6-foot-2, 215 pounds
There were two members not included in the updated roster and they are the most recent additions to the 2024 team in Collin Gill and Jahzare Jackson.
Gill, a defensive back, committed to Georgia in June. He spent last season at Oregon and had previously announced that he would be transferring to Temple before re-routing to Georgia.
Earlier this week, the Bulldogs landed Jackson. He will enroll as a member of the 2024 recruiting class after having previously played basketball for Overtime Elite. Jackson is a 6-foot-11 offensive tackle with intriguing upside.
Georgia will have plenty of newcomers this fall, as the Bulldogs welcomed a total of nine transfers and 29 2024 signees. That means over a third of the roster, 38 players in total, will be made of up players who are in their first year with the program.
Even with all the new faces, Georgia is expected to be one of the top teams in the country, thanks to the presence of veterans such as Malaki Starks, Carson Beck and Mykel Williams.
The Bulldogs open the 2024 season on Aug. 31, when Georgia takes on Clemson. Georgia head coach Kirby Smart will speak to reporters next week at SEC Media Days in Dallas.
