It was an especially great day to be a Georgia Bulldog fan on Saturday, as UGA wrapped up its regular season slate with a 45-21 beatdown of Georgia Tech.

The final score doesn’t really show how much of a route the game was. The Bulldogs scored touchdowns on their first five possessions of the game and took a 38-7 lead into halftime. Sophomore quarterback Jake Fromm was sensational, as he completed 13 of his 16 passes for 175 yards and 4 touchdowns on the day. D’Andre Swift also broke the 100-yard mark again, as he ran for 105 yards on 14 carries.

Georgia also shut down the Georgia Tech vaunted triple-option offense. The Yellow Jackets came in averaging 354 rushing yards per game, tops in the country. The Bulldogs held them to 128 yards on the day, a season-low. Georgia also sacked Georgia Tech 3 times on the day, which is something they will need to replicate next week against a much better Alabama team.

But we’ve got all week to focus on the mammoth SEC Championship game. So let’s take one last look back on the big win over Georgia Tech, and enjoy some of the best comments and tweets that fans and observers had from the big Georgia win.

Quite a few Georgia fans were absolutely thrilled to beat their in-state rivals. There’s always a lot of chatter between these two fan bases, so you can bet Georgia fans were more than pumped to let Georgia Tech fans know which team runs the state. The win on Saturday also put an end to Georgia’s two-game home losing streak to the Yellow Jackets.

Saturday was a big day for Georgia’s seniors as it was their final game in Sanford Stadium. For the likes of defensive lineman Jonathan Ledbetter, who led Georgia with 9 tackles, and wide receiver Terry Godwin, it’s safe to say that Saturday was a good day.

And to top it all off Kirby Smart capped off the greatest tweets perfectly with a simple “Go Dawgs!” message.

The Bulldogs capped their regular season with an 11-1 record and 7-0 record in home games. All 11 of Georgia’s wins this season came by at least 14-points. And with No. 4 Michigan losing on Saturday, the Bulldogs will most likely move up in the College Football Playoffs rankings on Tuesday. Georgia will get a chance to essentially lock up their spot in the College Football Playoffs next Saturday, as it takes on the No. 1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide. The game will kickoff at 4 p.m. ET and air on CBS. The game will also be broadcast on the radio at WSB Radio 95.5 FM/750 AM.
