ATHENS — Georgia features one of the top quarterbacks in the nation in Carson Beck, but even the most accurate passers rely on pass catchers who can get open and make yards after the catch.

The 2024 Bulldogs feature capable targets in the running backs room and tight ends room as well as multiple options in the receivers room. The DawgNation team debated which of UGA’s pass catchers will be most important this season.

Connor Riley: Now back for a second season in the program, and his chemistry further developed with Carson Beck, there’s a lot to like about what Dominic Lovett can bring to the team. He’s sneaky fast, and as we saw in the spring game, someone who is more than capable of making explosive plays. While it may have taken him some time to get accustomed to the Georgia way, he’s someone I think can make a big impact for Georgia this year and become Carson Beck’s No. 1 option.

Jeff Sentell: I’ve seen it, and I hope DawgNation has seen it, a camaraderie and a connection there between Carson Beck and Dillon Bell, they are on the same page. Carson knows just where to put it, and Dillon knows how Carson can feed him the ball and throw him open

Mike Griffith: This could be Lovett’s year to become the Go-To Guy, he comes out of the slot, he gets separation, and you remember that fantastic catch he made at the end of G-Day Game. Dominic Lovett is going to be the bail-out receiver that Carson Beck is going to look to on a lot of third-down throws this year.

Kaylee Mansell: When things start to go wrong and you need that sure thing, like Georgia had in Brock Bowers and Ladd McConkey last year, it’s going to come down to Dillon Bell, who is the most important pass catcher for the Dawgs this year.
