A game time and television network for one of Georgia’s biggest games of the season has been announced. Georgia football will take on Notre Dame at 8 p.m. ET on Sept. 21. CBS will broadcast the game.
When these two teams met in 2017, Georgia came away with a 20-19 win. The Bulldogs used that game to propel themselves to a berth in the College Football Playoff. Notre Dame made the College Football Playoff last season. These are two of the five teams in all of College Football to make the playoff in either of the past two seasons.

Georgia and Notre Dame will meet during the fourth week of the regular season and the game figures to undoubtedly be one of the games of the season.
Despite not playing in 2018 the two did manage to stir up some controversy. While Notre Dame was getting pummeled by Clemson in the College Football Playoff, several Georgia players tweeted that they belonged in the playoff as opposed to Notre Dame. Georgia then followed that up by losing 28-21 in the Sugar Bowl to Texas.
The game will certainly a ton of attention in the college football. ESPN has named the game as college football’s top non-conference game for the 2019 season. Both teams figure to rank in the top-10 when they meet, and potentially in the top-5.
Both squads return their starting quarterbacks from last season, as Jake Fromm will lead the Bulldogs, while Ian Book guides Notre Dame. The 2017 contest against Notre Dame was Fromm’s first career start, as he was filling in for Jacob Eason. Fromm completed 16 of his 29 pass attempts for 141 yards. He threw one very memorable touchdown pass to Terry Godwin but he also threw one interception to the Notre Dame defense.
