The Georgia football team is now 7-1 on the season. What does the roster look like now in terms of player participation in compliance with the NCAA’s new redshirt (four games or less) rule?
The Bulldogs have a few candidates that are right on the bubble this year as far as those redshirts go. Of the team’s 96 players who have hit the field this year, there are 35 players who still have the chance at a redshirt.
The bulk of those players are in the 2019 signing class in terms of those Bulldogs who are part of the NCAA-mandated 85 scholarship cap for student-athletes on the football team. It looks like Georgia will likely redshirt at least 10 true freshmen from that 2019 signing class at this time.
