Georgia has added more help via the transfer portal, this time landing wide receiver Noah Thomas from Texas A&M.
Thomas will have one year of eligibility remaining after spending the past three seasons with the Aggies. Thomas caught 39 passes for 574 yards and 8 touchdowns this past season for the Aggies.
Thomas does have ties to Georgia wide receivers coach James Coley, as the latter worked at Texas A&M from 2020 through 2023. Thomas is listed at 6-foot-6, 200 pounds and projects as an X-receiver in Georgia’s offense
Georgia has invested significant resources in overhauling its wide receiver room. Thomas is the second wide receiver Georgia has landed this cycle, as the Bulldogs are also bringing in Zachariah Branch out of USC.
The Bulldogs also signed five wide receivers in the 2025 signing class, led by 5-star prospect Talyn Taylor. Four of those signees are already on campus, while Branch and Thomas are expected to enroll early and participate in spring drills.
Georgia has seen wide receiver Arian Smith depart for the NFL, while Dominic Lovett has exhausted his collegiate eligibility. Georgia does bring back Dillon Bell, London Humphreys, Sacovie White and Nitro Tuggle. The Bulldogs could also add Colbie Young back into the fold, but he is still suspended as he awaits trial.
Georgia has now added five players via the transfer portal, as Thomas and Branch join safeties Zion Branch (USC), Jaden Harris (Miami), and Adrian Maddox (UAB).
Conversely, Georgia has seen 10 players depart the program via the transfer portal.
Six have already found new homes as cornerback Julian Humphrey and outside linebacker Sam M’Pemba will head to Texas A&M, defensive lineman Jamaal Jarrett signed with USC, inside linebacker Troy Bowles is headed to Michigan, safety Jake Pope is transferring to UNLV and safety Justyn Rhett is headed to Nebraska. Jackson, wide receiver Anthony Evans, quarterback Jaden Rashada and outside linebacker Damon Wilson have not found homes yet.
Georgia’s season came to an end with a loss to Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl. The Bulldogs open the 2025 season against Marshall on Aug. 30.
