Now former Georgia linebacker Jaden Hunter has a new home. Hunter, who is the son of former Bulldog Brice Hunter, announced that he will be continuing his football career at Western Kentucky.
Hunter made the announcement on his Twitter account. Hunter was in the transfer portal and looking for a new home prior to his announcement.
“I just want to thank God for staying faithful,” Hunter wrote in a message. “And a special thanks to Coach Smart and staff for teaching me all this I know about ball. My time there has made me into that man that I am today. And Thank You to all of the colleges that have been in contact with me through this process.”
Hunter signed as a 4-star linebacker out of Westlake High School in Atlanta as a member of the 2017 class. Hunter redshirted his first year on campus. He played in only two games in the 2018 season for Georgia. The Bulldogs brought in three inside linebackers in this past recruiting class, highlighted by 5-star prospect Nakobe Dean.

The Bulldogs also bring back the likes of Monty Rice, Tae Crowder and Channing Tindall at the inside linebacker position.
With Hunter now gone, he is the fourth Bulldog to transfer this offseason. Hunter joins Justin Fields (Ohio State), Luke Ford (Illinois) and DeAngelo Gibbs (Tennessee) as players who have found new teams. Of those three, only Fields has been granted immediate eligibility at his new school. Hunter will have three years of eligibility remaining at Western Kentucky.
Safety Tray Bishop has also reportedly put his name in the transfer portal, but he is yet to find a new home.
