ATHENS — Georgia football coach Kirby Smart says “loud is loud,” and the Bulldogs have done everything they can to prepare for what’s expected to be a deafening environment in LSU’s Tiger Stadium on Saturday.
“Every time we go out on the road, you’ve got crowd noise, you’ve got to prepare for it,” Smart said. “If you belabor the point, talk about it, they may start believing all of it.
“At the end of the day, loud is loud. It can only get so loud until you can’t hear anything and you cannot hear anything in that stadium. You can’t hear anything in a lot of SEC stadiums, so it is what it is.”
Smart said it’s not something Georgia overlooks, as portions of practice every week are committed to operating with crowd noise.
“We practiced with noise, we do it all summer, we try to make ourselves being comfortable being uncomfortable,” Smart said. “So we can’t let it be a distraction for us.”
