ATLANTA  — Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm left the SEC Championship Game with a right ankle injury after he was sacked and rolled up on by LSU safety Grant Delpit.

Fromm, however, came back into the game on the next series.

Delpit came free on a blitz at the 7:23 mark of the second quarter with LSU leading 14-3 and the Bulldogs facing a second-and-8 at their own 43-yard line.

Stetson Bennett came on in relief on the next play and fired a high incomplete pass on third-and-17 from the Georgia 34-yard line.

Fromm was 8-of-15 passing for 82 yards when he left the game.

Fromm returned on the Bulldogs’ next series at the 2:22 mark of the second quarter with UGA down 17-3. Fromm threw an interception on that series.

The Bulldogs are without receiver Dominick Blaylock (knee) and linebacker Quay Walker (shoulder), both of whom were knocked out of the game in the first quarter.
