Though he has often been overshadowed by classmate and fellow running back Nick Chubb over the course of his career, Georgia’s Sony Michel is one of the best running backs in the SEC in his own right.
But Michel’s talent is not just limited to the gridiron. He also moonlights as a musician, and late Monday night he dropped his latest track: “UGA Anthem (Remix),” featuring rapper and Atlanta native Rich Homie Quan:
As the song’s title indicates, Michel’s lyrics primarily surround his excitement for the upcoming football season. It is easy to see this getting played over and over in the UGA locker rooms before games this season.
Michel will need to be forgiven for his references to the now defunct BCS, but you can’t deny that he’s amped up to get back on the field and get the 2017 season kicked off.
