KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Georgia scored the final 33 points to overcome a slow start and beat Tennessee 43-14 on Saturday night.
A crowd of 92,709 at Neyland Stadium, approximately 30,000 of the wearing the Bulldogs’ red, were on hand for what started out as a contested game.
Jake Fromm was sensational, 24-of-29 passing for 288 yards and two touchdowns, both coming in the final 2 minute of the first half as Georgia surged ahead, 26-14 at intermission.
Running backs D’Andre Swift and Brian Herrien each scored touchdowns, and Georgia capped off the night with Tae Crowder’s 60-yard fumble return for a touchdown.
Georgia held Tennessee to 130 total yards in the second half.
