ATHENS — Fall camp is over for the Bulldogs, with the team turning its attention to Clemson later this week. And Georgia head coach Kirby Smart provided a lengthy update on where the Bulldogs stand from an injury standpoint.

Georgia held its second scrimmage this past Saturday.

Running back Roderick Robinson had been previously dealing with a toe injury, which Smart clarified as turf toe.

“Roderick is dealing with a little bit of turf toe and we don’t know when he’s going to be available,” Georgia coach Kirby Smart said.

At wide receiver, Colbie Young is dealing with a hamstring injury. Young is expected to be a factor in the wide receiver rotation this fall, though Dillon Bell is expected to be the team’s starting X wide receiver.

Center Jared Wilson has been dealing with an Achilles injury, though he was a full participant in Georgia’s scrimmage on Saturday.

On the defensive line, Warren Brinson has made progress as he recovers from an Achilles injury. But he is not the only defensive lineman dealing with an injury at the moment. Jordan Hall is dealing with stress fractures in both of his legs and is not expected to be available for Georgia’s game against Clemson.

Smart added that Xzavier McLeod is dealing with an unspecified injury as well, further impacting Georgia’s depth on the defensive line. Smart did not know when McLeod would be back.

Linebacker Smael Mondon has been practicing through a foot injury, though he has been a full participant in practice.

Smart was also asked if there would be any possible suspensions. The Georgia coach said any suspensions would be handled internally.

The Bulldogs open the 2024 season against Clemson on Aug. 31. The game is set for a noon ET start, with ABC broadcasting the game.
