ATHENS — The cupboard won’t be bare for Georgia next season — it never is under Kirby Smart — but an early 2026 NFL draft projection suggests star power could be down.
ESPN draft analyst listed the top three prospects at each position, along with a sleeper, and only one Georgia named popped up: Oscar Delp.
Delp topped Miller’s short list of tight ends, as the ESPN analyst suggested he “has everything an NFL team would want as far as size (6-5, 245) and movement ability, and he can run, catch and block at a high level.”
All things are true, which makes Delp’s relatively modest production last season (21 catches, 248 yards, 4 TDs) all the more head scratching in an offense that struggled to find consistency against an elite schedule.
The only other name on Miller’s way-too-early 2026 NFL Draft lookahead that could draw interest from some Georgia fans is Carson Beck, who spent the first five seasons of his career at UGA.
Beck, who went 24-3 as the Bulldogs’ starting quarterback before suffering a season-ending elbow injury in the SEC title game and transferring to Miami, is Miller’s “Sleeper” pick at the position.
The top three NFL quarterback prospects for 2026, per Miller, are Penn State’s Drew Allar, LSU’s Garrett Nussmeier and Clemson’s Cade Klubnik.
While Miller didn’t note any other Georgia players in his pay site article, here are four returning Bulldogs who could crack the top three at their respective position.
Cornerback Daylen Everette was the SEC Championship Game MVP and was playing his best football at season’s end. Everette figures to pop up on preseason All-American lists and should get even better this season.
Defensive tackle Christen Miller is one healthy season away from joining the long list of elite Georgia D-linemen before him that have transitioned into productive NFL players.
Linebacker C.J. Allen will be a three-year starter and has shown improvement from one campaign to the next. An elite offseason could elevate Allen into the Butkus Award ranks.
Offensive tackle Earnest Greene lll needs a healthy spring to prep for what could be a breakout season for him to assert his notable talents.
