Richard LeCounte III is basically worth a highlight play every three reps on a football field. The 5-star UGA commit has been worth at least one big headline every day so far at the Rising Seniors event.

He said on Sunday that he’s on a mission this week to lure as many elite recruits as he can to UGA. The Monday “wow” came on the practice field with Team Dedication.

LeCounte lost a tooth, but never missed a practice rep.

“I came up and hit that big dude from Camden County,” LeCounte said. “I felt it. It was a big hit. It didn’t kill me. (My tooth) got loose and on the next play I hit somebody again and it just came out.”

That’s the tooth. Not LeCounte. He threw it to one of his Team Dedication coaches and never missed a rep. Dedication head coach Shane Queen tucked it into his pocket until after practice.

“He just lost a tooth and shot it out,” said linebacker Breon Dixon, who also just committed to UGA on Christmas day. “I don’t know how he did that. I would have had to come out real fast.”

Queen then tucked it into his pocket until after practice. Dedication teammate Jamyest Williams, a UGA 4-star target from Archer High, saw it and said it got him excited because that’s the way he plays the game.

“Never miss a play,” LeCounte said. “You can’t miss a play. If you are not dead, then you can’t miss a play.”

The 5-star recruit would like to slide into a safety spot at UGA with the Class of 2017. He’s rated as the nation’s No. 1 athlete for his signing class.

LeCounte praised his defensive line, the running backs and his teammates in the defensive backfield.

“This team is stacked,” LeCounte said “We could probably hang with and beat Savannah State.”
