The nation’s No. 1 receiver has postponed his college commitment date. Kyle Davis, a 5-star senior from Archer High School, was set to make his commitment on Friday prior to the school’s Homecoming game against Central Gwinnett.
Archer head football coach Andy Dyer told DawgNation on Thursday morning that Davis would not be committing on Friday. The postponement was first reported by Scout.com’s Chad Simmons.
“I am just not ready,” Davis said to Scout.com. “It is a tough decision and I just do not think I am ready.”
UGA, Auburn and Tennessee are considered the leaders for his decision. The 5-star receiver tweeted out a picture on Wednesday with him positioned next to hats from each of those schools.
Davis will enroll early at the school of his choice in January.
