Nate McBride has made his college commitment on Christmas Day.

The nation’s No. 1 ILB prospect fielded a call from Alabama coach Nick Saban from the NFL Draft earlier this year. The Crimson Tide thought enough of him to visit him in the first few days after winning their last national championship last January.

Georgia was always considered a strong contender for his decision. But then came Alabama, Auburn and Oregon.

Oregon made a lot of sense because the 4-star prospect always liked their flashy uniforms and the up-tempo way they play the game. The nearly 6-foot-2, 230-pounder also plans to be a Sports Marketing major and Oregon’s connections to Nike’s worldwide brand make a lot of sense on that front.

McBride has only taken an official visit to Oregon so far.

The U.S. Army All-American from Vidalia High School could choose to stay in SEC Country at Alabama, Auburn or Georgia or head to the Pacific Northwest with the Ducks.

Those programs would all love to add the nation’s No. 92 overall prospect to their commitment board for 2017.

Which one of those teams is getting a linebacker who can sprint past their top skill guys on offense?

Santa knows.

That jolly old elf also knows which program will add a prospect who can do that and also power up 400 pounds on the bench press.

But why in the world is he traveling around in a monster truck these days?
