The college decision of the nation’s No.1 athlete will be a big decision on February’s signing day, and Mecole Hardman Jr.’s highly-anticipated decision may wind up tattooed on the body of a fan.
Hardman, who is rumored to have UGA and Tennessee as his co-leaders, told the AJC that the craziest thing a fan has said to him throughout his recruiting process is that promise of a tattoo.
“One fan told me that he would get my face tattooed on him if I commit to the school,” Hardman said. “I was like alright. That’s crazy.”
He did not remember which school the fan supported, but Hardman did favorite the tweet, which Hardman loves doing to show the fans some love.
The 5-star athlete also opened up about one college coach’s recruiting pitch to him. Although he would not name the coach or his school, Hardman says a coach told him that if he committed to the school, he “would own the place.”
In the video above, he describes his reaction to that over-the-top recruiting pitch and who he thinks is the most-famous person from his small hometown of Bowman in Northeast Georgia.
