With family and friends gathered around, UGA’s quarterback of the future made it official with the Bulldogs.
Jacob Eason, the 5-star quarterback, signed his financial-aid agreement with UGA on Friday evening at Washington’s Lake Stevens High School. Eason originally committed to the Bulldogs in July 2014.
Friday’s paperwork is a pretty big deal for UGA, even though it’s non-binding and not the same as a letter of intent. The FAA papers allow for UGA to basically have “unlimited” communication with Eason, who plans to enroll early in classes with the Bulldogs.
The 6-foot-5 Eason was at last month’s UGA Dawg Night prospect camp. And the allure of playing with the nation’s No. 2-rated quarterback has helped the Bulldogs attract receivers this summer, with five commitments in a row at the position this summer.
