FRISCO, Tex. — Kendall Milton told reporters last week at The Opening he was set to make his college decision on July 29.
There will be a party in his California neighborhood that day and maybe that night. Milton is down to four schools: Alabama, Georgia, LSU and Ohio State.
There is no significance to that date.
“No for me I originally planned on committing on the early signing period,” he said. “But with the decision for me to commit before the season starts, that was just a day that worked out for me and my family. You know? It was just the easiest for us all.”
Milton said at The Opening this week that his family had a “brief little talk” prior to that event.
“We made the decision to get real in-depth after the Opening,” Milton said. “So then I don’t have to worry about anything and all that. We made the decision to wait until after this and go real deep into it.”
He told DawgNation the decision was not final. He felt that he was “95 percent” certain about his decision.
He ranks as the nation’s No. 3 RB prospect for the 2020 cycle on the 247Sports Composite ratings. That places him as the nation’s No. 21 overall prospect this year.
