Julian Rochester, who is UGA’s highest-rated defensive commit, was glad to see the Bulldogs add another top target to this year’s recruiting class.
Earlier on Friday, 4-star running back Elijah Holyfield pledged to UGA. And Rochester, the 4-star defensive tackle from McEachern, was smiling about the news after his team’s win over Buford on Friday night.
“I said ‘Oh, there it is,’” Rochester told the AJC. “This dynasty is really going to be wonderful. Just wait until the class of 2016 gets to campus. We’re going to win a national championship. Georgia is going to win one this year as well, but we are just continuing to get better.”
Rochester, who pledged to UGA this past summer, confirmed to the AJC that he’ll be in attendance for Saturday’s season opener against Louisiana-Monroe.
“I know I’m going to be up at Georgia tomorrow, don’t tell nobody,” Rochester said jokingly.
The 6-foot-5, 315-pounder tells the AJC that he has yet to schedule any of his official visits.
“I’m still seeing what I’m going to do,” Rochester said.
He is rated as the state’s No. 4 overall prospect for 2016.
