Psst. Still got your mind wrapped around all the rhetoric about should he stay? Or better yet should they stay or go?
There’s still a football game to be played this week, UGA faces Kentucky in a conference game that is an afterthought in the race for an SEC East title.
It is still huge for the future of the Mark Richt era at UGA. What do the recruits think? We asked a big batch of recruits who wins on Saturday. Their responses still show a large measure of confidence that UGA can still grind out an SEC win.
Who wins on Saturday? UGA or Kentucky?
OL Chris Barnes (2016 UGA commit): “It will be a close game, but it will come down to a field goal. And of course (the) Dawgs on top.”
WR Trey Blount (2017 4-star, undecided): “UGA will win 24-20. I think they will bounce back with a strong showing because they are playing for their coach’s job and also playing for self-respect and to finish the season strong.
ATH DeAngelo Gibbs (2017 5-star, undecided): “UGA wins by two touchdowns.”
RB Elijah Holyfield (2016 UGA commit): “UGA 21-17.”
WR Grant Holloway (2016 4-star, undecided): “UGA 10, Kentucky 7. UGA is looking to bounce back after a tough loss to Florida.”
DE Justin Mascoll (2018 5-star, undecided): “I don’t really have a prediction, but I know that it will be a very fun game to watch.”
LB Nate McBride (2017 5-star, undecided): “I think UGA will win 34-21 because they are going to come back from losing.”
DB Tyrique McGhee (2016 UGA commit): “I have to go with the guys because I will never make a prediction against them, but UGA wins 17-10. Just because those guys are going to get it done and just to shut some people up.”
DB Xavier McKinney (2017 Alabama commit): “Georgia 42-17. Georgia is the way better and talented team.”
WR Tre’ Nixon (2016 4-star, undecided): “Georgia wins 24-10. Georgia coming off a tough loss will have the fire in them.”
ATH Demetris Robertson (2016 5-star, undecided): “Got to look at it two ways. Kentucky’s defense is reeling and UGA’s offense is struggling a bit. Something’s gotta give and I’ll take UGA 28-20.”
DT Julian Rochester (2016 UGA commit): “Georgia wins 35-17. Because they need this win and Georgia’s defense is too good for Kentucky’s offense.”
WR Shawn Smith (2017 4-star, undecided): “I got Kentucky 24-17 because UGA is down from a lot of injuries.”
DB LeAnthony Williams, Jr. (2017 4-star, undecided): “UGA 20-3. (I) hope UGA can come with the win.”
WR Charlie Woerner (2016 UGA commit): “UGA wins 35 to 20. Kentucky will not stop Georgia’s run game. It does not matter who is at RB.”
