Despite a lopsided 38-10 Alabama victory over UGA, some of the country’s top prospects that were in attendance for the SEC showdown still had a great visit.
Shortly after the game, the AJC’s DawgNation.com caught up with some recruits to get a quick reaction to how their visit went.
UGA commits
UGA wide receiver commit Darion Anderson: “I had a great time. It was loud and the atmosphere was outstanding.”
UGA wide receiver commit Randrecous Davis: “My visit was awesome. I really enjoyed myself. My favorite part was meeting and greeting with everyone and chilling with my host.”
2017 uncommitted prospects
5-star DeAngelo Gibbs: “It was good. I wish they could’ve pulled it out. My favorite part was the beginning when things were hype.”
5-star linebacker Nate McBride: “It was great. Always is great there. I got to speak to (UGA linebacker) Jake Ganus again and spent some time with (UGA linebackers coach Mike) Ekeler.”
5-star cornerback William Poole: “It was good and cool to be there, but it wasn’t really good for me to see UGA lose like that.”
4-star cornerback Malcolm Askew: “ It was good. The atmosphere was amazing as usual. Obviously Georgia didn’t come out with the win, but minus the rain, I always have a wonderful time Between the Hedges.”
4-star defensive tackle MJ Webb: “It was good. I really enjoyed the atmosphere there and interacting with old teammates and other recruits.”
2018 uncommitted prospects
4-star Justin Mascoll: “It went very well. They showed a lot of love My favorite part was watching (UGA linebackers coach Kevin) Sherrer cheer and the linebackers warm up.”
