We admit that sometimes we like to have more than a little fun on DawgNation. We thank Jamil Burroughs for allowing us to do that recently.

Jamil Burroughs chose UGA back on Aug. 25 for a very special reason. (Jeff Sentell/DawgNation)/Dawgnation)

In the featured video above, you’ll see why we enjoyed talking to “Big Mil” about a great many things. But especially his go-to celebratory dance move on the sideline.

“Should I show you?” Burroughs said when he heard that one.

We’re glad he did.

The 4-star junior DT from McEachern High School in Powder Springs ranks as the nation’s No. 4 DT prospect on the 247Sports composite rankings for 2020. It slots him at No. 61 overall for the 2020 class.

What else did No. 99 cover for us?

  • What it felt like to be offered by UGA?
  • Who would be his ideal dream date? (“Call me” was his public shout-out to that lady.)
  • What sort of relationship does he have with UGA junior DT Julian Rochester?
  • How much does he love his Momma?
  • Why UGA?
  • Favorite movie?
  • Go-to comfort food?
  • Why was the Crimson Tide his choice before Georgia?

He chose UGA back on Aug. 25. That was to honor his mother Simora Scott on her birthday.

Georgia made sure that the connection with Burroughs was strong. That’s when he realized those were the role models and mentors in his life he wanted to be around.

The 6-foot-3, 315-pound junior was at Georgia this past weekend for the home opener against Austin Peay.
