ORLANDO, Fla. — Lewis Cine is a busy man this week at the Under Armour All-America game.
He competes for “Team Ballaholics” this week and he looked the part on Monday during the second day of practice for the 2019 game. He flashed well in coverage and more than did his job of several reps in coverage, including a series of reps against Florida TE signee Keon Zipperer.
It was a day when most of the scouts and recruiting analysts patrolling the sidelines were busy giving out “Stock Up” or “Stock Down” grades and Cine received pretty much universal acclaim for his skills in coverage.

That’s pretty noteworthy given the fact that Cine flashed the sort of ability on his highlight tape that instantly shows he can run the alley and attack the football.
The fact he can hang with the nation’s elite in coverage and look like one of the longer and more athletic safeties in this game bodes well for his playing future in Athens.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder rates as the nation’s No. 3 safety and the No. 66 overall player for this class based on the 247Sports Composite ratings.
Cine (the last name Cine is as in “scene”) committed to UGA back in October just prior to the LSU game. That was some great news for DawgNation to remember from that week.
He signed with the program on Dec. 19 after never wavering one iota from that commitment. He didn’t even backpedal at all once he learned from Georgia coach Kirby Smart himself that popular defensive coordinator Mel Tucker would be leaving the program to become the head coach at Colorado.
The Massachusetts native played his senior year of high school ball in Texas at Trinity Christian where he was coached by NFL icon Deion Sanders, among others.
“What I see of myself is I am a problem solver,” Cine said. “If there is a hole in the defense, then I can come up and be the solution.”
