Let the hype begin.
Actually, the hype train took off long ago about UGA and the upcoming football season.
Just about every national way-too-early Top 25 has the Bulldogs at No. 3, trailing only Clemson and Alabama.
And UGA fans ought to even feel more excited about 2019 after Sunday’s tweet by junior safety Richard LeCounte.
LeCounte is not mincing words in that social media post. This year’s edition of UGA is the strongest and deepest the team has been under coach Kirby Smart.
Pretty much, anything less than contending for a national championship will be considered a disappointment by many fans. Hard to believe expectations have sky-rocketed under Smart like that. But it is what it is.
Who is ready for some football? The Bulldogs kick off the season at Vanderbilt on Aug. 30.
