ATHENS — Mark Richt isn’t ruling out Jordan Jenkins for Saturday’s game against Missouri, but it doesn’t sound likely.

Jenkins hasn’t practiced this week because of a groin muscle strain he’s been dealing with for a couple weeks. Jenkins, Georgia’s team’s leader in sacks and tackles-for-losses, tried to play through it at Tennessee but was finally pulled in the second half.

“He’s got a chance (to play) but he didn’t go today,” Richt said.

Another defensive player sounds doubtful to play: Defensive lineman John Atkins, who has been part of the rotation, is dealing with a turf toe injury.

“I don’t know how long that will last,” Richt said. ”
