With Christmas now come and gone, it’s time to take a look back and recap some of the sweet gifts many Georgia fans got over the holidays.
Beyond wins over rival Florida, Georgia Tech and Auburn, or another SEC East title this year, it looks like a number of fans got some pretty great gifts on Christmas Day.
To start off, let’s take a quick trip down memory lane to when Georgia coach Kirby Smart gifted former Florida quarterback Tim Tebow a Georgia jersey earlier this year. The jersey just acts as another reminder of Georgia’s 36-17 win over Florida.
The top gift of the day may have been a sweet pair of Savage Spikes. When a member of the defense forces a turnover, they get to don the savage spikes, much like Claire did in the tweet below.
With so many Georgia Bulldogs in the NFL, a number of people asked got jerseys from the likes of Sony Michel, Nick Chubb and Todd Gurley. All three have had great seasons in the NFL, so Georgia fans are more than proud to rep them.
Beyond jerseys, several other Georgia fans got some cool bits of memorabilia, whether it be a signed football by Georgia running back Elijah Holyfield or a picture of Chubb and Michel in their playing days at Georgia. I would include myself in this category, I got my mom a new Georgia coffee mug that she very much seemed to enjoy.
One former Georgia player got a really incredible gift. Aulden Bynum, an offensive lineman on Georgia’s 2017 SEC Championship team, got his Rose Bowl and national championship game jerseys both framed by his parents. Also included in the frames were his parents’ tickets to the game and Bynum’s name plate from his locker. This will no doubt be a gift that Bynum cherishes for the rest of his life, given how special the 2017 season was for him and many Georgia football fans.
To close things out, we have to mention that even dogs get in on the Christmas fun. Even though it doesn’t look like there are any Georgia related gifts in the box, you really have to appreciate the way these two dogs get after it. Georgia coach Kirby Smart has to love their intensity level.
We at DawgNation hope you have a happy holidays and New Year. Was there a great Georgia gift that you got in 2018? Let us know in the comments below!
