Georgia freshman quarterback Justin Fields made a cameo appearance at the end of Travon Walker’s commitment video.

Walker is a 5-star defensive tackle from Thomaston, Ga., who committed to UGA over South Carolina, Alabama, Auburn and Clemson on Tuesday evening in a ceremony at Upson-Lee High School.

Several hours after his commitment, Walker tweeted out a commitment video produced by “Film It Pros.” At the very end of the video, Fields is shown congratulating Walker on his Bulldogs decision. Fields is the 5-star recruit who headlined this past year’s recruiting class for UGA.

Also appearing in the video is Tye Fagan, a freshman guard for UGA’s basketball team. Fagan played with Walker on Upson-Lee’s basketball team this past season. The third UGA rep in the video is Divaad Wilson, an incoming freshman defensive back from Miami.

Back to Fields: Last week at SEC Media Days, Georgia coach Kirby Smart told reporters that he has no plans to redshirt the freshman quarterback — which most had already assumed. The Bulldogs have only two quarterbacks on scholarship, including sophomore starter Jake Fromm.

“(Fields has) taken on the second team role quickly, and I’m excited about the things he’s done,” Smart said, per DawgNation’s Mike Griffith. “He gives us an element in our offense that we don’t have. Excited to see what he can do.”
