Georgia finally broke out the black jerseys in Sanford Stadium last fall for the first time since the 2008 game against Alabama. And fans in Athens watched the home team beat Louisiana Lafayette 35-21.
So did the positive result encourage the powers that be in Bulldogs uniform planning the urge to expand on the blackout theme? It may have.
According to a Tweet posted by the UGA Barstool Sports account, the Bulldogs might be incorporating black helmets into their uniform ensemble in 2017. The picture is allegedly a screenshot of a Snapchat taken by an employee in the Georgia Football equipment office.
In other words, by no means is it an official announcement of what Georgia will wear this coming fall.
