DawgNation has you covered for all the latest happenings around Early National Signing Day. Unfortunately, that sometimes means breaking bad news too.
5-star running back Trey Sanders will not be part of the 2019 recruiting class at Georgia. While the Bulldogs made a late push for his services, Sanders committed to Alabama.
With this miss, Georgia will not be adding another elite running back to its class. The Bulldogs were also involved in the recruitment of 4-star back Noah Cain, but he committed to Penn State hours prior to Sanders’ announcement.
Georgia had 5-star back John Emery Jr. committed until midseason, but in October, the Louisiana native de-committed and landed at LSU.
However, the Bulldogs did receive a commitment from 4-star running back Kenny McIntosh, who is the No. 10 back in the 2019 class according to 247Sports. The Bulldogs are also one of the programs heavily recruiting 2020 5-star running back Kendall Milton.
Without Sanders, Milton should be a priority for Georgia in 2020. It’s probably safe to say the Bulldogs are already on Milton’s radar.
