Nick Chubb is back for another season at Georgia. And he’s clearly putting in work just more than a month before the first snap.
On Monday, Bulldogs assistant director of player development Bakari Guice posted a video on Instagram showing Chubb squatting 600 pounds. Georgia coach Kirby Smart also did so. It was an impressive feat that you have to watch for yourself to truly appreciate.
Earlier in the offseason, one of Chubb’s teammates claimed that Chubb could achieve this feat after video surfaced of LSU running back Derrius Guice squatting 583 pounds. Well, it turns out that was a true claim.
Chubb has rushed for 3,424 yards and 29 touchdowns over his three-year career at Georgia. Last year, he had 1,130 yards and 8 touchdowns.
Originally, Chubb wasn’t going to return to the Bulldogs for the final season of his collegiate career. But he decided to come back — and that’s a good thing for Georgia, especially if he’s having these types of offseason workouts.
