It’s roughly 60 miles or a little over an hour drive from Athens, Ga. to North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, Ga. But if you’re Kirby Smart, you probably don’t have that kind of time in the day for a turnaround trip of two hours and change.

So why not take a helicopter instead? When visiting the 2017 Class 7A state champions, it’s easier just to do it big and show off.

The Bulldogs already have a commitment from North Gwinnett’s Warren Ericson in its 2018 class, but recruiting is just as much about keeping up relationships with high school coaches as it is recruiting the players themselves.

A little ride over on the helicopter is a pretty easy way to wow coaches and future players alike. Add in national title game appearence alongside a Rose Bowl win this past season, and all the sudden Georgia looks pretty difficult to pass up when choosing a place to play at the next level.
