In recent years, Georgia has had plenty of capable punt returners.
There’s the dynamic Isaiah McKenzie, who has four punt returns for touchdowns in two seasons, the surehanded Reggie Davis, who had a punt return for a touchdown against Tennessee, and even Terry Godwin.
But a video put out by the school showed off a number of players who you might not expect fielding punts. The best was saved for last, as offensive tackle Greg Pyke even fielded one.
Joining Pyke in fielding punts was outside linebacker Lorenzo Carter and quarterback Brice Ramsey. Ramsey also is competing with Marshall Long for Georgia’s punting job.
It looks the Bulldogs could have an abundance of talented punt returners. Maybe Kirby Smart will even let Pyke field a punt during the game.
