Georgia finished its regular season with a dominant performance in a 38-7 rout of Georgia Tech on Saturday at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

The Yellow Jackets, by the way, beat Georgia last year at Sanford Stadium, but the Bulldogs have won every game at the Yellow Jackets’ home stadium since 1999.

The Bulldogs are 11-1 this season, and they now prepare for a return trip to Atlanta for the SEC Championship Game and a shot at the College Football Playoff.

Here are some of coach Kirby Smart’s thoughts on Georgia’s win over the Yellow Jackets:

Smart on facing Georgia Tech’s option offense: “They’ve got a good football team. It’s a very hard offense to prepare for. Our kids took the challenge head-on and did a good job preparing for it. Thought we controlled the ball offensively in the second half. Those are some good things.”

Smart on the 2017 season: “Our kids have played really hard. They’ve gotten better throughout the year. They’ve bought into what we’re trying to do as a program. We’re really excited about where we are, and we’ve got a challenge next week.”

Smart on preferring to play Auburn or Alabama in the SEC title game: “We’ve got everything broken down on Alabama. We’ve got everything broken down on Auburn. So we’re set to go. I’ve been through this several times before where you didn’t know, you had to wait until the last week. That’s just the way you prepare.”

Smart on quarterback Jake Fromm’s strong day and the offense’s balance: “Offensively we’ve grown. I think Jake’s gotten better. We’re certainly trying to improve the passing game, as everyone knows.”

Smart on the defense: “Proud as hell. I’m going to be honest with you, it’s hard to keep them from rushing for 200 yards. … Give that credit to Mel Tucker and those coaches and those kids that were getting whacked in the knees all week.”

Smart on the play of Roquan Smith: “I haven’t watched the tape, obviously, but what I feel like is what I saw in practice all week: Sideline-to-sideline, relentless, athletic, tough, competitive, leads, talks when needs to, quiet when he needs to be. He has impeccable character. I’m just proud of how hard he works and that he buys into what we believe.”
