Tom Crean, the new leader of Georgia’s men’s basketball program, says he officially has a date and an opponent for his debut.

Luckily for Crean, the Nov. 9 game should be an easy win for Georgia. Savannah State is a classic early season cupcake that should help the Bulldogs build chemistry. Last season, Savannah State was 15-17.

Crean made the announcement Wednesday.

The former Indiana coach came to Athens after taking a season off. The Bulldogs hired Crean in the offseason after parting ways with Mark Fox.

Georgia players have said Crean has already begun to switch some things up.

Crean also disclosed Arizona State is scheduled to travel to Athens on Dec. 15, meaning the Bulldogs will face off against up-and-coming coach (and former star Duke point guard) Bobby Hurley.

Crean had a 166-135 record at Indiana; he was won more than 350 games in his career.
