This Sentell’s Intel rep on Georgia football recruiting has shares a strong scouting report on Georgia football commit Ryan Montgomery. He ranks as the nation’s No. 10 QB and the No. 108 overall prospect for 2025 on the 247Sports Composite. The On3 Industry Ranking has him as the No. 10 QB and at No. 139 overall.

DawgNation has seen and heard a lot of high school coaches say a lot of impressive things about their star players on their way to play for UGA over the years.

Especially when it comes to the quarterback spot.

That’s why a recent Toledo Blade article referencing UGA commit Ryan Montgomery caught our attention.

“Ryan is all about the game,” his Findlay High head coach Stefan Adams told the Blade. “He leaves no stone unturned. He is just as hungry to improve his game from where he was last year. He is a perfectionist who wants to be the best and hates losing more than he loves winning. He’s a true competitor.”

The Northwest Ohio native was even regarded as the most heavily-recruited local QB ever in terms of national interest in that same article.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound senior completed 69 percent of his passes last fall for 3,377 yards and 38 scores. He also ran for 257 yards and 10 scores on the ground en route to an 8-3 season.

That boosted his career totals to 7,584 career passing yards and 89 touchdown passes.

“Ryan is looking to take complete control of four offense,” Adams added. “He’s an extension of the coaching staff on the field and is looking to elevate all of his teammates’ play. His attention to detail and preparation allows him make quick decisions taht can pick apart a defense with his arm. He also isn’t afraid to use his legs as well, which was evident last season.”

Montgomery will graduate in December and enroll early at UGA. He is expected to join the team in mid-December as per the norm while the Dawgs are either in bowl practices or a part of the expanded 12-team college football playoffs this year.

“Ryan is looking to take complete control of our offense,” Adams also told the Blade. “He’s an extension of the coaching staff on the field and is looking to elevate all of his teammates’ play. His attention to detail and preparation allows him to make quick decisions that can pick apart a defense with his arm.”
