This Sentell’s Intel rep on Georgia football recruiting has the latest with 4-star QB commitment Ryan Montgomery. He ranks as the nation’s No. 9 QB and the No. 77 overall prospect for 2025 on the 247Sports Composite. The On3 Industry Ranking has him as the No. 9 QB and at No. 110 overall.

Georgia football QB commitment Ryan Montgomery had a great summer. He performed well at the Elite 11 regionals and the Elite 11 finals out in California and boosted his rankings considerably.

The Findlay High School (Findlay, Ohio) standout is now the No. 77 overall prospect for the 2025 cycle on the 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s currently slated to be the highest-rated QB signee for the Bulldogs since former 5-star Brock Vandagriff in 2021.

Yet there is some potential bad news to monitor from his season opener on Friday night against a dominant Toledo Central Catholic program. Central Catholic is a back-to-back state championship team. Montgomery has never beaten them in high school.

The Toledo Blade reported that weekend that Montgomery suffered a potentially serious right leg injury four minutes into Central’s 54-21 win.

“Not ideal but he will attack rehab like his hair on fire,” his father Mike Montgomery told DawgNation this morning. “Should know more later today.”

It came at the end of a 1-yard scramble. Montgomery was taken down by a hit that flipped him in the air.

The 4-star QB prospect returned for one play and then left the game. He returned to the sideline out of uniform in the second quarter. The Blade also reported he had his right leg wrapped up from mid-thigh to shin and was sitting on the back of a golf cart after the game.

“I’m not going to speculate on what it is,” Findlay coach Stefan Adams told the Blade regarding the injury. “Hopefully he can get some rest and see of see what happens. Obviously, we pray for the best.”

The runaway victory marked the 32nd straight win for Central Catholic.
